Scaling an AI Presentation Platform

SlideSpeak turns documents, prompts, and files into native, editable PowerPoint presentations. No design skills required. What started as an open-source ChatGPT-powered PowerPoint summarizer has grown into a full AI generation platform with its own in-app assistant, AI-generated visuals, video narration, and a large library of free, single-purpose tools that double as an SEO and lead-generation engine. I work across all three surfaces: the marketing site, the free-tools fleet, and the core app at app.slidespeak.co. The focus is growth and development, not a single one-off build.

The Challenge

SlideSpeak's free-tools fleet spans well over a hundred individual tool pages: format conversion, extraction utilities, AI content generation, video tools, and more, across six locales, alongside 100+ blog posts and dozens of comparison pages against competitors like Gamma, Beautiful.ai, and Canva. Each tool page has to work as a useful standalone utility and as a discovery surface for the core product. Neither job can suffer for the other, and the fleet can't turn into a maintenance burden that dilutes the core app's identity.

Our Approach

The work spans the full stack of a growth-driven SaaS: shipping and maintaining the marketing site and its component system, building out and refining individual free-tool pages so each one holds up as a real utility, and contributing to the core app experience at app.slidespeak.co. SlideSpeak's growth model leans heavily on this tools-and-content fleet as an acquisition channel. New tools need to ship consistently, and existing ones need to stay fast, accessible, and on-brand as the product evolves underneath them.

The Result

SlideSpeak today reports 2M+ presentations generated, a 4.9-star rating across nearly 2,850 reviews, and users across 90+ countries. These are self-reported platform figures, and they reflect the scale of what's now being actively built and maintained. This is ongoing work, not a single before/after project, and the free-tools fleet keeps growing as a core part of how the platform reaches new users.
