Two connected projects for the same founder, spanning two very different products: Rivanna, a legal-tech platform giving transactional attorneys document analysis, precedent search, and market intelligence tools; and Ayla, an AI companion app that helps elderly users manage daily routines, medications, and appointments through natural conversation and smart reminders.
Rivanna and Ayla share almost nothing as products. One is a sophisticated B2B tool for lawyers, the other a calming, accessibility-first companion for elderly users. Each needed its own design language built from the ground up, tailored to a completely different audience.
Rivanna's site was designed with a professional dark theme and subtle network and wave graphics, signaling the sophistication of the underlying legal document analysis and making a complex product legible to attorneys evaluating new tools. Ayla went the opposite direction: a soft, calming palette, clear large typography, and intuitive navigation built specifically for elderly users, so the app's conversational reminders and routine-management features stay approachable for someone unfamiliar with AI assistants.
Both products launched with a design system built for their own audience. Rivanna's site now communicates its legal technology to transactional attorneys, and Ayla gives its founder a working, accessibility-focused AI companion app for elderly users.
